I think you may have been born without the plant-nurturing gene. You should probably stop murdering green, growing things…maybe let B.C. do the gardening. I mean, people grow stuff in heat waves all the time; just look at all the golf courses they have in the desert. Regarding the price of ice cream, we’ve stopped going to the local Dairy Queen and its generic equivalents. They just seem to be a bigger rip-off than they used to be. (Plus, the counter-help is getting snottier and trashier, but that’s another story.) Anyway, cooler weather is on the way, and as an extra added attraction, you may get huge, nasty thunderstorms as the cool air crashes against the hot.

I know for a fact that there are people who read this blog who hate their jobs more than you and I, possibly you and I put together. Maybe they are so busy hating their jobs, they don’t have time to comment.

I finally figured out one of the major reasons why I love vacations so much: It’s pretty much guaranteed that someone else will cook my meals for me and clean up afterwards, I don’t have to worry about doing laundry for awhile, and my only responsibility is to figure out what fun thing to do on any given day. I don’t think there are any jobs that fit that description, except maybe “Saudi prince” or”Queen Elizabeth.” Pity.

This is the trouble with blogs. You have to suffer the comments of English-language-challenged idiots who miss the point entirely, and then call you names.

Anyway, I think what she was trying to convey was that she assumed that there was at one time a person in your life who lives in the country, never bathes, and is an asshole, and she is urging a reconciliation; hence “Go back to your dirty country asshole.”
