I’m a 20-something, recent college grad from the Midwest, leaving my friends and family behind to take on the publishing industry in Boston, Massachusetts. This is my first “real” job out of college and I’m starting at the bottom rung of the book-making ladder.
The purpose of this blog is three-, four-, or five-fold, perhaps more. My personal interest in writing this blog is just that: the writing. I’ve been a writer my whole long life and like the idea of starting a new writing project centered around this move. Also, it’s a way for my friends and family to keep up with what’s going on in my life (without actually having to talk on the phone).
Ideally, it would also be a source of comfort or camaraderie for those who have or are planning a move to Boston, those who are looking for or have just started their first job out of college, those working in the publishing industry, and those of us with nothing to do but blog-surf at work.
Welcome one and all, and wish me luck in Bean Town. I’ll do my best to keep it somewhat entertaining. At least until my boss stumbles upon it and I get fired. Cheers!
